Give in His Memory

In lieu of flowers, the family asks the people, businesses, and organizations of Victoria to give to the Gary Moses Community Impact Scholarship Fund at Victoria Collage.

Gary loved this community, he loved education, and taught at Patty Welder Middle School for 37 years. He spent his life giving back, and inspiring others to do the same. This scholarship carries his heart for service and his legacy forward.

The fund will help local students who need financial support to attend Victoria College, and our hope is to award it to many recipients for many years to come. Gary understood that even the smallest act of kindness could have a lasting impact. To honor the way he lived, recipients must have a history of community involvement and volunteer service.

When you give, please select the Gary Moses Community Impact Scholarship

Share Your Memories

Dear Brother Gary began as a way for Victoria to write to Brother Gary while he was living, and it continues On.

At the celebration, you'll find cards where you can write down a memory, a story, or a few words about what Brother Gary meant to you. These notes will be shared with the family, and they may become part of the permanent memorial planned for the Community Center after it is renovated and renamed in his honor.

In place of a guest book, this is how Victoria will remember him, together, in the words of the people who knew him best.

Keeping His Legacy Alive

The best way to carry his spirit forward is to keep living and giving the way he did. We hope the community will continue to support the Gary Moses Community Impact Scholarship Fund for years to come, and give to the many organizations and causes he cared about across the Crossroads area. Every act of generosity, large or small, keeps his work alive.

The Moses family asks the people of Victoria, and the entire Crossroads region, to keep his memory alive the way he would want, by telling his stories, with kindness, and by becoming, for one another, what Brother Gary was for us all.
